The PORTLAND SYMPHONIC GIRLCHOIR has been delighting and inspiring audiences in Portland, nationally, and around the world for 30 years. Under the unique leadership of Co-Conductors Roberta Q. Jackson and Debra D. Burgess, the award winning Portland Symphonic Girlchoir has taken its place among the finest children's choral ensembles in the world. Girlchoir is recognized for its adventurous programming, artistic excellence, unparalleled choral music education, commissioning of new works for treble voices, national and international tours every other year, and for its unique choral community. PSG has released 10 CDs, commissioned 38 new works for treble voices, and is a two time recipient of the prestigious ASCAP/Chorus America Award for Adventurous Programming, most recently in 2015. Mrs. Burgess and Mrs. Jackson are featured authors in Perspectives from the Podium: Insights from Expert Children's Choir Conductors Volume II.
